Enewetak Atoll Veterans seeking GoFundMe Funding for "Operation Stand Together" - May 20,

We are the members of the Enewetak Atoll Radiologicial Cleanup Project who served as part of the U.S. effort to clean up the atomic contamination from the Enewetak Atoll located in the Marshall Islands.

The clean-up consisted of over 8,033 US Service members serving between 1977 to 1980.

We are seeking your help -

There is an event n Washington DC on May 20th, 2017 where the group of Atomic Veterans, as well as our Enewetak Atoll Veterans will be marching in Washington DC to raise awareness on our plight and efforts for government recognition and healthcare parity.

We have many members scattered across the USA who are living with disabilities, and, suffering and fighting with the Government and Veterans Administration for due process in gaining healthcare, benefits and compensation for being exposed to ion-radiation and other atomic contamination while serving in the US military.

This Group Was Exposed To Deadly Nuclear Waste Without Any Protective Gear Or Monitoring. There Was No Proper Decontamination Procedures In Place.

We are seeking help to raise funds for travel, lodging, and food for the veterans in need who wish to participate. It is our hope to take as many members as possible with your help we can help our veterans get to the event on May 20th.

Many of our veterans are suffering from illness, and disabilities and are fiscally unable to attend the event, with your help, many more can attend.

Many Are On The Brink Of Homelessness And Destitute. Many Are Dying. We Would Appreciate Any Support In This Endeavor. We Are Currently Trying To Pass H.R. 632. and S. 283 to gain healthcare parity.

Our group has been fighting for this cause for over 40 years.

We are asking you to support our GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for our veterans to attend the event in Washington D.C.

Personal testimony of Robert Foley, Enewetak Atoll veteran:

"I was sent to a "Tropical Paradise". What they are now calling "The Deadliest Place on Earth". I was exposed to Strontium-90, Cesium-137 and a number of other deadly radioactive isotopes ever produced by man after the dropping of 60+ Nuclear Bombs; each 10X greater than Nagasaki or Hiroshima . I live with brain damage (TBI), large blisters on both retinas combined with massive pressure behind the eyes, peripheral vision eye loss, headaches, severe cervical spine bone loss and extreme joint pain throughout. Once given 1 to 2 years to live by a top neurologist;

I now continue to push on one day at a time living for the day I wake up to ONLY and I am trying to live this one day for others in need. They knew and absent any and all levels of human decency they could not find it in themselves to inform 8000 of us during the period of 1977-1980. Today sadly there are only 300+ known survivors. How do you justify the THOUSANDS of lost lives, broken families and sick offspring. Our military records would deliberately block and never show that we were ever there. The remaining few survivors lack or cannot receive medical coverage for cancers related to radiation exposure through their individual V.A.'s because there military records again have no record for any of these men as of ever having been there.

In 1989, the Director of the Defense Nuclear Agency, Vice Admiral J.T. Parker stated in a letter entitled- DNA Instruction 5010.28A, Subject: Enewetak Records Center, par; 5 "Historical Significance"- I quote, "The entire matter has been, and will continue to be, of great national and international importance. Questions requiring detailed answers will arise for years, possibly for a generation or two. Certainly there will be issues (litigation over claimed radiation injury; Congressional hearings on rad safe procedures; Veterans Administration claims for benefits and compensation; etc.) arising over the lifetime of the cleanup participants, and possibly over the lifetime of their offspring".

My deepest fears are no longer held for myself because I am ready. My offspring on the other hand are a completely different matter". Robert Foley

THANK YOU FOR ANY AND ALL HELP PLEASE PASS THIS AROUND TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW. THE ENEWETAK ATOLL RADIOLOGICAL CLEANUP VETERANS, COLLECTIVELY THANK ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR HELP AND ASSISTANCE, IT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.
