Born on May 6, 1959, Patrick proudly served in the Army's 309th Transportation Company as a Watercraft Operator, reaching the rank of SP 4. His most defining chapter was his role in the Enewetak Cleanup Project, where he worked alongside fellow Atomic Veterans, forging lifelong bonds in the crucible of service.


Patrick’s advocacy for his fellow Atomic Veterans and his deep friendship with comrades like Todd Lentini and Jeff Dean were highlights of his post-service life. Outside the military, Patrick’s love for fast cars, demolition derbies, and his passion for mechanics reflected his adventurous spirit and zest for life. His work in construction and his time on the road as a truck driver brought him immeasurable joy.


As Patrick’s life drew to a close, he was comforted by the care of the Hospice of Sacred Heart, where compassion and kindness surrounded him and his family. His memory remains deeply cherished by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and his godmother, Charlene Todd.


A graveside service at St. Mary's Cemetery with full military honors, led by Father Phillip Sladicka, bids farewell to a remarkable Atomic Veteran. Patrick Joseph Reedy’s story is one of resilience, kinship, and an unwavering commitment to service, ensuring his legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
