“Pacific Island Tour: A Christmas Tribute to Veterans and Indigenous Communities"

'Twas the night before Christmas,

on a Pacific Island tour,

Veterans gathered 'round, tales to endure.

They served in a mission, challenging and bold,

In the pursuit of peace, stories to be told.

The atoll was remote, its beauty concealed,

But the veterans stood strong, their fate was sealed.

With courage and honor, they embarked on the quest,

To clean up the islands, to give their very best.

The stars in the sky, like the souls of the brave,

Watched over these heroes, the lives they would save.

From Enewetak's shores to the coral reef's gleam,

They worked side by side, as if in a dream.

Through blistering heat and tropical storms,

They carried their burdens, in various forms.

With sweat on their brows and sand in their shoes,

They pressed on together, no time for the blues.

Radiation and danger loomed overhead,

But these warriors pushed forward, where angels dared tread.

Their sacrifices many, their service was pure,

In pursuit of a mission, with resolve to endure.

The indigenous people, they honored and praised,

Their culture and history, in their hearts, they embraced.

For their land was disrupted, their lives rearranged,

Yet the veterans stood by them, their friendship unchained.

So on this Christmas Eve, let's remember them well,

The veterans who served, their stories to tell.

With gratitude in our hearts, to them, we shall sing,

For the peace they've preserved, let the bells gently ring.

To the Pacific Island tour, where courage took flight,

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
