As a Bulldozer Operator on Enewetak Island, Paul played a crucial role in the mission to restore and rehabilitate the land, helping to clear shrubs and soil as part of the cleanup effort following atomic testing. He embraced his service with unwavering determination, embodying the values of loyalty, integrity, and perseverance in every task he took on.

Paul’s commitment to service extended beyond the bulldozing of Enewetak’s soil. He carried these values into his family life, creating a supportive, loving home for his wife, children, and grandchildren. A true family man, Paul cherished his role as a husband, father, and grandfather, sharing moments filled with love, wisdom, and laughter.

His family was at the heart of everything he did, and his example of dedication and care became a guiding light for those who loved him.

In addition to his military service, Paul was a respected businessperson known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to excellence. He earned the respect of colleagues and his community, always ready to lend a helping hand. His dedication to his community mirrored his commitment to his family and country, making a positive impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Paul’s later years were marked by battles against cancer that affected his kidney, bladder, and esophagus. He faced these health challenges with the same courage and strength that defined his life, inspiring all who stood by his side. On March 17, 2019, Paul passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones. Though his battle had come to an end, his spirit and legacy live on, inspiring others with his remarkable dedication, love, and resilience.
