During his deployment, Richard faced adversity when he was temporarily left in Guam after the evacuation prompted by a typhoon. Despite this challenge, he remained steadfast and resilient, embodying the spirit of a dedicated soldier committed to the mission's success. This experience highlighted his adaptability and determination, qualities that served him well throughout his military career.

Having undergone two hip replacements, Richard struggles with sore muscles, raising concerns about potential radiation exposure as a contributing factor to his health issues.
