In honor of our brave Atomic Veterans - Willie Charles Brown, a dedicated soldier in the U.S. Army, played a vital role during the Enewetak Atoll cleanup operations. His work focused on soil remediation and concrete work, essential tasks in restoring the atoll after years of nuclear testing. Willie’s contributions were instrumental in the mission to decontaminate and rebuild the atoll, ensuring it could be safe for future generations.


Stationed at Enewetak during 1978-1979, Willie’s responsibilities included the challenging task of soil remediation, where he worked tirelessly to remove contaminated soil and replace it with clean material.
